Our STEM workshops are designed to equip Florida's teachers with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to build strong STEM programs in their classrooms.
Workshops are 1-2 days long and focus on specific topics that are relevant to STEM education.

Our STEM Educator Workshops are tailored to meet the needs of both new and experienced teachers and provide an interactive learning experience. Whether you're looking to build a new STEM program or want to take your existing program to the next level, our workshops will provide you with the tools and resources you need to succeed. Depending on the workshop selected, participants will have the opportunity to:

learn how to construct and use classroom teaching tools such as stomp-rocket launchers, gyroscopes, racetracks, pinewood derby cars, bridge testers, shake tables, stream tables, gravity wells, and so much more

learn how to completely plan and execute a full, weeklong STEM summer camp

learn effective STEM classroom management and teaching strategies to engage students and maximize retention

learn to design and stock a complete and efficient STEM lab, including best practices for creating an engaging and interactive learning environment

learn how to tap into available community resources to assist in building a strong STEM program, including information on local organizations, businesses, and other resources that can provide support for STEM education

lesson plan using the 5E Instructional Model: Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, and Evaluate - this workshop is intended to help schools standardize their lesson planning and focus on the “Activity Before Content” approach
